PTS is seeking an energetic, caring, and collaborative OT to join our team in an outstanding school district in the Woodside, DE area.
Part-time during normal school day hoursVaried caseload School-Based OT
Qualifications:
Valid DE license as an Occupational TherapistChild Abuse, Federal, and State ClearancesSchool-Based Occupational Therapist
Responsibilities:
Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate tests and assessment instrumentsPlan and provide appropriate specialized therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational needs of the student consistent with therapy goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP)Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to develop Individual Education PlansEvaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy servicesCollaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom based activitiesCounsel and involve parents in the therapy program of their childCompile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required in accordance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy to include documentation for the need for equipment and materialsMeet the needs of all students effectively by working in partnership with other disciplines.
Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policyMaintain up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, and practices associated with therapy in the school-based settingWhy you should join the PTS team:
